Tarot and Fable: The Ace of Cups or How the Wine Became Water
(c) Cheryl Lynne Bradley 2003-4

Once there was, and once there was not, a great festival being held in a small village. Each villager was asked to contribute to the festival by pouring a bottle of wine into a giant barrel which all would share to celebrate the occasion.

One of the villagers thought: "If I just pour a bottle of water in that giant barrel, no one will be able to tell." The villager certainly didn't think that everyone else in the village might think the same way or do the same thing as he had done.

When the festivities began and the wine barrel was tapped for the feast, all that came out was pure water.
