Emptiness despair
Do you hear me calling?
Is anybody there?
Confusion rests deep inside
Restlessness fills the air
Buried deep within myself
No light can penetrate here
Desperate wanderings
Fear consumes my mind
I am lost in the darkness
No one could ever find
This lost and lonely spirit
Who's cast out of the light
Into the realm of darkness
Of this never ending plight
Dark night of the Soul
Blood flows out my veins
Ending this indulgence
And this never ending pain
Slipping into my insanity
No one even cares
That this will be my last good-bye
No sadness fills the air
Falling ever deeper
Into the darkened dream
I am on the edge of hell
But no one hears my scream
Dark night ends
A new day dawns
And lightness fills the day
Dark night of the Soul
Finally begins to sway
Out of nightly terrors
That filter through my mind
The daylight shinning brightly
These beams of light I find
Comfort me once again
Until the day grows old
Until the dark night begins again
